Why include CommentSmart?

Easier for the raters
One issue with 360s is getting others to fill out the assessment and provide comments that are useful instead of generic or overly pointed. People are also concerned about their comments being identified simply by their choice of words. CommentSmart provides the 360 respondent with a choice of behavior-based responses based on their 72 ratings. This makes it easier on the rater who no longer has to ponder how to construct a comment that will be meaningful to the subject.

Easier for the recipient
All the possible responses have been tested and found to be useful. The recipient will receive focused, balanced, and constructive feedback from these comments.

The goal of the rating process is to understand how others see you or your client as a leader. See pages 8-15 of the sample Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders  profile to see how CommentSmart is integrated into the report.

Why DiSC?

You’re probably already familiar with DiSC and its ability to provide additional depth to one’s self-awareness. Leaders will take the DiSC assessment as part of their 363 process. The narrative you’re used to seeing in a DiSC profile report will differ in the 363 report but the leader’s style will be used to interpret some of the material in the report. In other words, the recipient will see a rich narrative and not just a set of charts and graphs.

We know that every individual has preferred styles of behavior. You’ll notice that the circle model for leadership differs a bit from other Everything DiSC circles. That’s because a leader must have some level of competency in each area in order to be a great leader. While leaders are likely to have strengths related to their own styles, leaders must use a range of approaches to be most effective. The second part of the leader’s assessment includes 72 leadership-specific behaviors to rate.

The goal of the DiSC portion of the report is to explore the leader’s tendencies on eight approaches to leadership.

Getting started

Each unit provides two leader assessments and results reports with an unlimited number of reviewers for each leader. This product requires administrative oversight.
